She acts on behalf of public hospitals and individual doctors (including visiting medical offices) in multi-million dollar personal injury claims involving brain injuries, spinal injuries and amputations. She also has experience in coronial inquests, discrimination complaints, product liability claims, intentional torts, property damage claims, statutory lines, contractual disputes and subrogated recoveries.

Liz has acted for a variety of Australian and overseas insurers defending claims on behalf of local councils, utility companies, building and construction companies and NSW Government agencies. Her experience includes catastrophic birth claims, delayed diagnosis claims, assault claims, worksite injury claims and defective design claims.

She has conducted litigation in multiple jurisdictions including Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory, and she has conducted successful appeals in the New South Wales Court of Appeal and the High Court of Australia. In addition, she has completed a Master of Laws at the University of Sydney majoring in Health Law and Insurance Law.

Liz takes a pro-active approach towards dispute resolution to ensure that claims are resolved as expeditiously as possible on the most favourable terms to the insurer and the insured.
